Pick Up in Hornell, Drive an Hour

Our lot is in Hornell, about 51 miles and an hour and 15 minutes from the track at 2790 County Route 16. You collect the unit, we walk you through the water tanks, propane, battery and generator, and you drive it to your campsite yourself. Camping gates open at 7:00 am on the Wednesday of NASCAR week, so plan the rental to start before race day, not on it.

Book Your Campsite Before You Book the RV

Campsites at the track are bought separately from us and separately from your admission ticket. Existing campers renew first: the deadline for 2027 NASCAR and IMSA sites was October 2, 2026, and whatever they release is what reaches the public. Buy your site through the track at theglen.com or 1-866-461-RACE, then call us at 607-663-0591 to match a unit to the site you got.

Our Manager and the Finger Lakes Team help renters plan race weekends at Watkins Glen International, and generator timing is the question we hear most. Quiet hours run from 11 PM to 6 AM in every camping area at The Glen, and generators have to stay off during those hours unless you have a medical permit from track security. Top off your batteries and chill your fridge before 11 PM so you are not caught short overnight. When you arrive, expect a vehicle search at the gate, and plan to park with the nose or tail of the RV facing the track. Camper permits are issued per vehicle, not per site, so make sure every rig staying overnight has its own.

Why Rent an RV for Race Weekend at The Glen?

Schuyler County has a few hundred hotel rooms and 38,900 people come through the gates. That is why the campgrounds sell out before the grandstands do. Here is what matters about camping at this specific track:

The famous infield has no electric or water hookups, so your rig carries its own power and water for the weekend
Generators are banned from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am unless you hold a medical permit, which means overnight air conditioning runs off the house batteries or not at all
Seneca Campgrounds has water and 30-amp electric if you would rather not manage that
Every site is 40 feet deep, and one site holds one RV plus one tent, not two rigs
You must park nose or tail toward the track so you block the least viewing area, which changes where your awning and slides end up
Camping gates open Wednesday at 7:00 am for NASCAR and Thursday for IMSA, so the rig is your base from midweek

Tanks go out full and the propane with them, at no extra charge. On a dry infield site that is the difference between three days and one.

Do We Deliver to Watkins Glen International?

Our confirmed delivery points are Watkins Glen KOA, Keuka Lake State Park, Letchworth State Park and Finger Lakes RV Resort. Delivery inside the track itself is not something we can confirm here. Reserve the unit and tell us which camping area you bought.
Pick it up in Hornell. We hand over the keys and run through tanks, propane, battery and generator before you go.
Drive the 51 miles to the track and arrive after gates open at 7:00 am Wednesday for NASCAR.
Return it to Hornell after the weekend.

Two rules catch renters out. No vehicle or attachment over 7 feet 10 inches is admitted unless it is a recognized RV, so a tall trailer behind a tow vehicle can be turned away at the gate. And every campsite is 40 feet deep, which means a 40-foot coach plus a chase car does not fit one site. Each reserved site comes with two vehicle passes. Our Class C motorhomes sit well inside that footprint.
