Pick Up in Hornell, Plan a Long Drive

Walsh Farm is at 1 Poultney Road in Oak Hill, in Greene County, about 214 miles and five hours east of our lot in Hornell. This one is a pickup-and-drive trip, not a delivery. You collect the unit, we walk you through the water tanks, propane, battery and generator, and you take it across the state. Budget more than five hours in a loaded motorhome.

Camping Is Included, the Vehicle Pass Is Not

A Full-Festival ticket includes camping, but your rig needs a separate vehicle pass priced by length. In the 2026 cycle that was $60 advance for under 20 feet, $110 for over 20 feet including anything towed, and $700 for a 50-amp hookup site. Tickets went on sale in mid-November, eight months ahead. Buy the pass, then call us at 607-663-0591 and we will match a unit to the tier you bought.

Our Manager and the Finger Lakes Team help renters plan the drive to Grey Fox in Oak Hill, and the question we hear most is about cooking at camp. Grey Fox has a no open flame policy, so plan on a camp stove, hibachi, or grill, keep all fires off the ground, and bring a fire extinguisher. Sleeping tents and campers have to sit at least 10 feet apart, and campsites are capped at about 20 by 25 feet with allowances for RVs, so arrive with your group rather than trying to hold space for friends. Full festival camping runs from 7 AM Wednesday through 5 PM Sunday, so time your pickup to roll in early and grab a good spot on the hayfields.

Why Rent an RV for Grey Fox Bluegrass?

Oak Hill is a hamlet in the Catskills with no hotel strip, and camping runs Wednesday through Sunday while the music runs Thursday through Sunday. That is a five-night stay, not a weekend. What matters on this ground:

  • Most of the site is dry camping on mown hayfields, with 50-amp electric and water only on a limited number of reserved 20 by 50 foot sites
  • There is no sewer hookup anywhere; waste goes through a $10 pump-out station, so tank capacity is a real planning item over five nights
  • Absolutely no open flame is permitted, propane and charcoal only, and no firewood may be brought onto the grounds
  • No pets are allowed, service animals aside
  • Quiet Camping carries a 10:00 pm to 7:00 am obligation, so generator-dependent rigs belong in Generatorville instead

Water and propane go in before you leave, at no cost. Across five nights on a hayfield that is the line between comfortable and rationing.

Pickup Only

This One Is Pickup in Hornell, Not Delivery

Oak Hill is five hours east of our lot, well outside the area we deliver to. The four places we deliver to are Watkins Glen KOA, Keuka Lake State Park, Letchworth State Park and Finger Lakes RV Resort. For this festival you collect the unit and drive it. Here is how it works:

  1. Buy your Full-Festival ticket and the vehicle pass matching your rig length.
  2. Reserve the unit with us for the full Wednesday-to-Sunday window.
  3. Collect in Hornell and we will cover tanks, propane, battery and generator before you set off east.
  4. Drive east and arrive for the Wednesday 7:00 am gate, weather permitting.

That last phrase is the one to take seriously. This is a working hay farm, gates open weather permitting, and a wet field delays entry for heavy vehicles. The festival also polices the approach: no lining up on any road before 5:00 am, and never on NY-145 or NY-81. There are two free Tuesday-night overnight lots about a mile and a half out, at The Milk Run on NY-145 in East Durham and the Durham Town Barns. Ask us about smaller RV rentals if you want to stay in the under-20-foot pass tier.
