Pick Up in Hornell, Drive Two Hours

The Heron Farm and Events Center is at 2361 Waits Corners Rd in Sherman, about 120 miles and two hours from our lot in Hornell. You collect the unit, we hand over the keys and walk you through the water tanks, propane, battery and generator, and you drive it west. Arrive with the fresh tank full, because there is nowhere on the property to fill it.

Camping is a separate vehicle sticker, priced by lot, bought from the festival at greatblueheron.com. In the 2026 cycle Purple was $149, Orange $169, Green $255, and the Large RV sticker for the Red Lot was $345. Buy it before you book the rig, because the lot you get decides the size of unit that fits. Then call us at 607-663-0591 and we will match one to it.

Our Manager and the Finger Lakes Team help renters plan the drive west to the Great Blue Heron in Sherman, and the question we hear most is about power and water. None of the camping areas have hookups, so fill your fresh water tank and charge up before you leave. Generators are allowed in the vehicle camping lots from 9 AM to 9 PM, but not in the woods. Vehicle spaces are 20 by 20 feet, so if your RV is longer or can't be unhooked to fit, you will need two stickers or a Large RV sticker. Camping is first come, first served, and spaces can't be saved, so if you are meeting friends, plan to arrive together. Leave pets, glass, and firewood at home.

Why Rent an RV for the Great Blue Heron Music Festival?

Sherman is a village of about 700 people in Chautauqua County, and the festival draws several thousand onto a 300-acre farm. Lodging is not the constraint here; it barely exists. What a self-contained unit changes on this property:

None of the camping areas have hookups to power or water, so your rig carries all of it for four days
Generators may only run between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm, and only in the vehicle lots, so twelve hours overnight are on battery
Showers on site cost $5 for five minutes, which makes your own bathroom worth more than usual
The dump station is $20, so tank capacity is a budget item, not just a comfort one
The ground is hilly grass and gravel on a working farm, so levelling blocks are not optional
No pets are allowed anywhere, service animals aside, which rules out leaving a dog in the rig

Water and propane are loaded before you leave, included in the rate. With no tap anywhere on the property, that is what stretches four days out of the tanks.

Do We Deliver to The Heron Farm in Sherman?

Delivery runs to Watkins Glen KOA, Keuka Lake State Park, Letchworth State Park and Finger Lakes RV Resort, and no further west. Buy your camping sticker from the festival and note which lot it is for.
Reserve the unit with us and tell us the lot.
Take collection at our Hornell lot, with a walkthrough of tanks, propane, battery and generator.
Drive the 120 miles and check in at the single Main Gate, where wristbands and stickers are issued.

The sizing rule is the one that costs people money. Spaces are staked and flagged at 20 by 20 feet, and the festival is explicit that a larger rig or family camp needs more than one sticker. Anything over 40 feet, or anything that needs a pull-through, must buy the Red Lot Large RV sticker instead. A mid-size Class C motorhome plus an awning already tests one 20-foot space.
